A National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) is a UK-based, practical, competence-based qualification that develops job-specific skills and knowledge through work-based experience.
NVQs are a competence-based assessment: NVQs focus on demonstrating your ability to perform job tasks effectively, rather than just theoretical knowledge.
You cannot fail an NVQ!
Global will get you through your NVQ
How are NVQs assessed?
You will create a portfolio showcasing your work and the tasks you’ve completed. This will include audio recordings, professional discussions, and evidence, see below;
Evidence
You will need to prove you’re actively carrying out the role to achieve your NVQ. To do this you provide evidence linking to your NVQ, this can include signed RAMs, time sheets, proof of hire, emails, permits, job sheets, videos pictures, witness testimony, etc.

Levels of NVQs
The qualifications are structured across five levels, from Level 1 for entry-level work to Level 5 for senior management.
How long will it take?
This is up to you and the effort you put into it. There is a guided learning of approx. 6 weeks, but we aim for you to achieve your NVQ within six months. Some people can achieve their NVQ quicker, if we can meet the awarding bodies standard.
